Winter is coming. And it's time to think about how you're going to protect your bike, so that when spring comes, you can enjoy the fresh air, ride with confidence, and avoid costly repairs.
There are plenty of options for storing your bike—wall mounts, floor stands, and more—but it's important to consider a few things before making a final decision. First of all, make sure there's enough space for people to walk around your bike so that they don't bang into it when walking by (or worse, trip over it). Second of all—and this one should be pretty obvious—make sure the storage solution is secure and out of reach from kids or other pets who might want to play with your precious ride.
Finally, if you're storing multiple bikes together in a vertical wall mount or horizontal wall hanging system (or on their own floor stand), remove any pedals before putting them away so that nothing gets damaged during transport or storage. If you're storing outdoors in a full cover or garage without cars blocking common access areas then there shouldn't be any additional steps required!
And as always: talk to your partner first!
